So I started out with building a single U87 mic from a kit years ago and then later on moved to repairing many guitar amps and consoles for a friend, eventually I made the jump to designing new power supplies and audio circuits for various projects and then made the decision to revive some old pieces of audio gear for myself and found that some friends wanted that gear as well and I knew others would want the same great pieces of gear.

So, the next step for me was to create a small company that could help facilitate building and getting these great pieces of gear into other people’s studios, so thus RetroGrade Equipment was born and I have worked for many months and years designing and re-designing the RGE 864U as well as other lines of gear and have brought them from an idea, to sitting in peoples gear racks and being loved and used to make great music!
